Terms and Conditions
1) Items will be dispatched within 3 working days of payment clearance, most are dispatched in 48 hours, unless otherwise stated.
2) Payment must be received within 7 days of checkout if cheque payment is being submitted.
3) It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure that they read fully the description of any bag they may wish to buy before purchasing. If you are unsure contact us before you place an order. We will not accept returns for any reason other than for faulty items or if it falls within section 9 below. Please be aware that silk is a natural product and may contain natural irregularities. Click on the “Silk Info” link on our home page for further information.
4) We store and process customer data in accordance with the current legal requirements of the data protection laws. We do not send random marketing emails (spam) to personal email addresses and we do not use cookies only a visitor counter to allow analysis so that we may continue to improve the quality of our site.
5) Customer data that is collected is only that information required to process customer orders for delivery. We do not keep any details of customers credit cards or at anytime during the purchasing procedure are we priviledge to such information. Customer's credit card details are all handled through our secure online processors PROTX and PAYPAL.
We may occasionally mail you to notify you of forthcoming offers. Should you wish to 'opt out' of these mailings please send an email to mailer@bagsone.co.uk
6) All items purchased are used at your own risk and we reserve the right to amend or add to these Terms and Conditions without prior notice.
7) These terms of sale and the supply of the goods will be subject to English law and the English courts will have jurisdiction in respect of any dispute arising from a contract.
8) We do not store any credit card details. All card transactions for UK customers are processed through our secure card processor Protx, please see point 15 for US and Canadian customers payment options. Should you experience any difficulties you need to contact the card processing company directly.
9) We guarantee to refund any item you are not completely happy with when you return it to us within 14 days of receipt (see item 12 below). Refunds will be for the cost of the item only, postage costs are not refundable. Refunds will be credited to your original method of payment. Please see our returns policy.
10) Please remember to ask the Post Office for your proof of posting certificate and retain it for your reference for any item under the value of £28. The Post Office will stamp this and supply a tracking reference number starting with the letters PA to prove the item(s) have been returned. Without this we cannot refund any money. For items above £28 you are responsible for selecting a suitable postage method to ensure adequate insurance should the item be lost or damaged. We can not be held responsible for items that are lost or damaged where you have failed to take adequate insurance.
11) Returning goods bought as special offers
If you return a single item bought as part of discount offer (for example 'buy 2 save 10%') you will be refunded the full price of that item less the total discount given in the offer. If you return all items purchased with the multi-buy discount you will be refunded with the full multi-buy value.
12) Distance Selling regulations
In addition to our returns policy, under the Distance Selling Regulations you have seven working days (beginning the day after receipt) to cancel your purchase. In this case, we will provide a full refund minus original postage costs and you must return the cancelled items to us at your cost. Please note all items must be fit for resale. If we do not receive the cancelled items back, we may arrange to collect them from you at your cost.
You must contact us either by telephone on 0191 488 5339, Facsimile on 0191 488 5339, by Electronic Mail at: sales@bagsone.co.uk or by Post at BagsOne, 6 Foxhills Covert, Fellside Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE16 5TN to advise us that you intend to return the items. Please remember that the date of receipt of the item counts as day 1.
13) Refunding the Delivery Charge
If it is we who have made a mistake on an item sent to you or it is faulty or damaged we will refund the delivery charges you have paid to receive that item.
14) Statutory Rights
Your statutory rights are not affected by our returns policy. If you do not understand any of these terms please contact us for clarification.
15) Customers from the United States of America and Canada
Please note that customers from the United States are required to pay using PayPal. We ship by Royal Mail Airmail. It will take approximately 5 - 6 working days for the package to reach the United States. Postage will be charged at £6.50 per item. Please see our shipping page for further details.
16) Customers from Europe
Please note that customers from Europe are required to pay using PayPal. We ship by Royal Mail Airmail. It will take approximately 2- 4working days for the package to reach destinations in Europe. Postage will be charged at £5.00 per item. Please see our shipping page for further details.
